“In one of the first chapters of “In The Plex”, Steve Levy says it’s the “superbrainy engineering mentality that represented the future of business in the Internet age.” How true! What is not driven by the technology today? Toothbrush - can be electronic, refrigerators could automatically re-order food for you (granted this one didn’t take off just yet),...

A lesson in transparency @PadPivot style
On January 15th, I pledged towards a neat project on Kickstarter - PadPivot (http://kck.st/gmzC2U). Their goal was to raise $10k towards “the ultimate tablet stand for iPad, Galaxy Tab, Kindle, or other tablet device”. I love Kickstarter as a platform and once in a while contribute to other neat projects such as “Times Square into Art Square” (http://kck.st/caH6Lc)

“Wilson highlighted Sal Khan who created more than 2,000 free online classes through his Khan Academy and noted that “the vast majority of people who are on Khan Academy are not in the United States.” Saying “if you really want to see how the world is changing go to Sub-Saharan Africa or go to Southeast Asia or go to Eastern Europe and parts of the world that have not had things that we...

Your success: it's all about people
People say that you are the one in control of your own destiny and in many way it is very true. Without your own zeal, persistence and the thirst for knowledge you will not get very far.
People also say that if you want something done, do it yourself. Well that also holds a piece of truth to it, but opportunity costs play a big role in that decision. Focus on what you can do best!
However, the...

I love trying new stuff! I am not shy about sharing what I eat, where I go and what I think - so when Blippy just came out of beta - I signed up. I had no prior expectations set by media (just saw few tweets with the name).
I linked my netflix, godaddy and iTunes accounts… I followed a few people, 1 person followed me (sigh).

Self-reported health data portability
I use LoseIT and I am not ashamed of it :), but I also have a slew of other apps that I started and stopped using and when I stopped - my data was left hostage (unless I wanted to re-enter all of it again).
With proliferation (see a list of 100 iPhone apps for Health & Fitness) and increased usage of mobile health applications - we, as consumers, are creating an abundance of self-reported and...

My health data x 5 times. Enter once and share
I had to go for a procedure at the Englewood hospital yesterday. While my overall experience was pleasant at the outpatient services desk and the actual procedure - what keeps on shocking me is how many times I need to enter the same information over and over again. I was never a patient at this hospital but when I called to make an appointment they took down all my information inclusive of a copy...
